Don't kids say the funniest things?

Oh well, they're 9 years-old...When Tun Dr M stepped down, they were about 5 years-old...I think he'll forgive them!

Hey Adam and Eve,

Hmmm...I doubt any one can get that answer right...We had a good time laughing at their PM answers...=)

I know the answer...Can I have the balloon instead ;)?

Hey Jo-D,

Haih (blissful one)...Kids say really funny stuff one lar...And this whole 'you stupid' sounds soooo familiar!

Daphne Ling said...

Hi Doc,

Hmmm...Seems everyone is thinking of Datuk Nazri!

Oh well, the kids won't be thinking of him...They have gotten enough on their plate confusing their little heads about 'Badawi' and 'Mahathir'...;)

Daphne Ling said...

Hi Rocky,

Adoi...You better be careful...After those powers-that-be inplement the whole 'punish parents because of their children' and you'd be the first to masuk jail...

Stay safe Rocky! =)

Daphne Ling said...

Hey Zewt,

Haha! Now that you highlighted this name, looks like this kid cantum 3 PM's together! Cute...

Daphne Ling said...

Hi Kerp,

True...Titles don't mean a thing to kids...

They say 'Abdullah Ahmad Badawi' like he is their friend or something! Hehe...

Rita Ho said...

That was simply hilarious! I laughed out loud at your "Apa Nama" thought. My non-BM friends used to ask me what those two words meant because Tun M used it like after every other sentence! LOL.

Pi Bani said...

Well, at least the kids are not totally blank as to who their PM is/was...

Imagine if you ask who their PM is and they answer, "Ronald McDonald!"

Puteri said...

Haha, I more clever! The PM is Dollah Mahathir! Heheh.

Kerp (Ph.D) said...

aunty rita,

i wonder how would you answer your friends regarding the 'apa nama' q?

adam and eve said...

i can certainly post the ballon to penang but apamacam dengan helium?

u mentioned BeeGees.................off the cuff i remembered i was in Singapore when i received a call from a friend that Barry Gibb has pass on,what a SAD day for me.THEY ARE AWESOME.

yeah that's what most of my friends say bout me listening to DINOSAUR radio station 'light and easy'.but the heck with them ,great songs transcend time and space and since when has age to do with it

i am currently into Anuar Zain

as for Annie's song-it was a piece in 'My Best Friend's Wedding',three teenagers crooning it with helium in their airway and sounding like the chipmunks at the tennis court on the wedding day of dermott to cameron diaz while julia roberts tried her best to break up the event and failed terribly

I'm glad that the kids nowadays in M'sia have the guts to think outside the box. During my time, we were like tikus..scared of our own shadows..tak berani nak oppose anyone :))

Made my day... I'm grinning from ear to ear :)

Kerp ... it depends on who is asking. If it is someone I don't know well, I'll give a direct translation and explain his usage. If it is people I am familiar with, I tend to pull their leg a little. The confusion sets in when Tun M decides to ada "tu" or "ini"! My naughty ex-staff used to bet on how many times he will say "apa nama" and end up arguing when he says "apa nama tu" or "apa nama ini". Gosh, I hope he is not reading this. Blush.

PrincessJournals said...

kih kih kih. funny kids. reminds me of the ad where kids were arguing wht to call their city. lol!

Daphne Ling said...

Hi Aunty Rita,

Haha...Just answer 'Wa-that name?'...=) But they might have problem getting that too!

Daphne Ling said...

Hi Kak Pi,

Haha...If the question was about other ministers, I would probably be tempted to answer that ;)

Daphne Ling said...

Hi Kak Puteri,

Haha! *Clap Clap* Yes, you very clever ;)

Daphne Ling said...

Hi Adam and Eve,

Oookie! I wait for your balloon ;)

Anyway, I am with you with regards to music...The best music will transcend time and space...I listen to Light & Easy too, and Mix Fm...I don't listen to Hitz, cos I find the music too 'hot' for me...

=)

As for the Annie's Song, I think I haven't heard it (not well enough to sing it, the very least)...When I see 'My Best Friend's Wedding', I'll keep a special look-out for it...Thanks!

Daphne Ling said...

Hi KL-Gal,

Adoi...Tikus? Now we 'upgrade' a little bit di...We're all hamsters (at least can make noise in the morning, unlike the tikus that only bising at night)...=)

Still alot we can't say, don't dare to say, and haven't matured enough to think about, to say...

Daphne Ling said...

Hi Abang Mat,

Glad to be of service!

Hi Princess,

Haha...Kids argue over everything! Add an *ahem* adult (me lar) into the picture, and we can have a lot of fun...

Cos I sengaja add more stupid answers to confuse them even more, which would lead to more argument! Hehe...Jahat kan?

Azian Hasan said...

Kalau I ada kat sana, mesti guling-gulig gelak. Gosh...sooooooo funny!

Daphne Ling said...

Hi Azian Hasan,

Haha...Glad to help you laugh more! Guling all you want ;)
